...does everyone's plane jump around in flight? it makes its very difficult to hit a target when you're jumping all over the place

is this a feature of the game or a mis-calibration of the joystick by me!!????

You need to adjust your joysticks "deadzone" I think.

Also make sure you are not zoomed in really close.

Or, if none of those work, you may want to cut back on the porn

I suppose a back and forth wrist motion could cause vibrations in the cockpit Dan

Hmm, first time on this forum somebody has the same experience as myself

Yup, I noticed that too a long time ago and asked the same question on this forum. I believe it is related to DirectX somehow.

When I got into Warbirds, the shake was enormous, also, it increased when explosion where sounded. In order to remedy the situation I must have reinstalled windoze a dozen times. Finally, by chance I discovered the right sequence of installing windoze components like Bus Mastering thinggies, PCI bridges (including those of Madison County), DirectX, video card drivers. Only then the shake became barely noticeable. Only installation of subsequent Wrbirds version eliminated the shake completely. DoA, interestingly still suffered from the same problem

I tried a few different soundcards, finally settled down on the Diamond Sonic Impact S90 (Aureal Vortex chipset)with so called 'digital' joystick input. Bought a Logitech Wingman Interceptor stick which does not utilize analog input on the soundcard (the problems where believed to be caused by 'voltage spiking' produced by dodgy potentiometers in the sticks).

Anyways, I fly SDOE now , use the digital joystick and the wobble is still on

I can minimise it by closing all unnecessary background tasks, when windoze does something apart from powering the SDOE it just too much for it.

I have a Matrox G-200 video card and they have never released finished drivers for it
What card do you have?
In my case upgrading to newst drivers is a mistake. The ones that work are the best. Their latest drivers (final ones, as they say, what an utter pile of bollocks !) don't solve anything (they were supposed to bring OpenGL support, the hell they have!). The Aces High don't work at all, new problems with Warbirds too.

I would blame Microsoft, Matrox and ElNino

All the best

O, yeah, yesterday I spent bleeding half of the day trying to sort out the probs with my soundcard, it is dead as the flipping dodo and Diamond Multimedia and it took SDOE with itself too windoze got dicky in effect (no wonder, such a monument to system stability)

Ah, Tail what is that advice on not zooming really close!? I'm shortsighted, I always have to zoom everything really close, especially porn :O

Have you all nice day and may the God Of PCI nad PnP be with you

And now it says I cannot post this coz I exceeded the maximum numbers of images! What images, do you see any images here?!

PS, what?! only eight images per post?! This is bloody not enough!!! How can someone express himself without a few dozens of images? Have they gone mad? ..or maybe I have...

Any shake I had went away when I tossed in a Cel 433 and then more recently a Cel 600. Took care of it completely.

Spanky here...

Well I have ran SDOE on a p2 266 and now a 333 and i don't think i'm gettting the shake that you guys are talking about.

Heck i have seen it on a k6 233 and even though it runs insanely slow it still doesn't shake.

A cel 466 should run it fine and infact thats what I was thinking of upgrading to.

You might have wind?!!

Wind in the missions causes quite a shake when flying. Try (or make) a mission with zero wind.
