just play with the V and shift-V keys on the ground, there seem to be no proper sequence for the nozzle changes.

How I do it is this...

Take off using Shift-V (puts nozzles at 75 degrees)

In flight quickly hit Shift-V and then V and you'll go to 90 degrees for hovering (however close to it you can get really). If you use both together you'll be in reverse. Just go to an external view on the ground and hit F2 to see what they are doing (or look at the nozzles gauge (NOZZ) on the lower left part of the panel, next to flaps).

Once you get a method down it's a blast. I love to take off, hover, go to 75 degs, get up some speed and get into a climb, then go to 0 degs (full forward flight) fly around, and do it all in reverse. Or just slow down and go to 75 degs for some slo mo touch and goes. When I land though I always go into a hover and try to get it dead stopped just a couple feet over the ground, then gently land.

That thing has been so much fun to fly. Now to paint it.
