well, here's what I've got done now.. The body has been split into component parts, nose, tail, engines, stabs. Weapons Officer added, he can fly the plane and has control of bombs and rockets (thats cool  ) I've been able to raise the top speed a little, in one test I was up to 680mph at 1000ft, but configured this way the Ai couldn't take off with a bomb loadout, so currently it's down to about 450mphI had some problems with bad vibration shaking it apart for a while there, but finaly seem to have that licked. If some one would like to help me tidy up this excellent piece of work by Pete Hawk, let me know, I could really use some damage modeling  Sorry it's not yet ready for a re-release, but I need someone to firstly smooth the body parts for me (when I export smoothed parts from max they look worse in OPS than before  ) and I also need to re-map the parts now. but I guess if someone would like to beta test the F14d as it stands now that would be cool. ~Nat~ ------------------

That's all fine but for the sake of realism you should let the backseater be just a backseater. The RIO doesn't have any flight control in a F-14 of the current variants. There are a few rudimentary flight instruments in the back pit, and the RIO's joystick is much smaller than the pilot's and only controls the radar.

Actually there is a trick to smoothed parts. I never smooth them in Max, SDOE smooths them for me! So try that Nat.Glad you are working on it IP: Logged |

If you look at my new post about the Hogs, you'll see that I've found hot to get good smoothing in Max at the click of a button So now I can smooth out the F14 real easyIP: Logged |
