You need the Me-262/U4 for the latter missions I am not sure if my Zip puts them in order for you-- they should be in order in the game though as I used different dates for each... I forget who did the Me-262U4...help Also-- Nations is required as I am using the Soviet squadrons...but I assume if you have the Pe-2 successfully installed, that means you have Nations anyways ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Jeeves Pilot	posted 08-13- 01:22 AM Sorry guys-- I have a short-term memory Gunner-- the only thing I can think of is that it is a startup.ppf thing...now you may have correctly edited the startup...but are you sure it is in your Media folder and not somewhere else? lfbpro-- A dynamic campaign is one where how well you do in the mission determines what you do next...if you win-- you go to a certain mission, but if you lose, you have to go to a different mission first...kinda like a "Choose your own adventure" books... ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Moose_EAF322 Pilot	posted 08-13- 06:12 AM Jeeves..the campain is great ! I finished 4 missions now. First 2 missions were pretty easy ( bombing is nice anyway ) , mission 3 and 4 much harder. In mission 3 , i flew fighter but i lost the mission. Then i flew it with Pe2 and i won the mission. After i bombed the town ( and got the "you won the mission" message ) i was shot down by a Jerry but i won anyway. It would be nice if you loose the mission after you was shot down. It depends what you call winning a mission: - getting the mission goals - getting the mission goals AND survive mission yourself. Laika 801 Pilot	posted 08-13- 07:18 AM Hehe - a uber dogfighter - never Crossbow, problem is the bad AI in the german planes... Campaign is great, one thing I dont like: to often the usage of 3 500lbs bombs, changing it back to 6x100lbs or sometimes 4x250lbs would make it harder. Jeeves Pilot	posted 08-13- 09:30 AM Laika-- Yes I know I used the medium bomb loadout WAY too much, but I had to! You see-- when I make the campaigns, I make them for offline use, which means the AI has to completely win the mission on its own since you can only fly one squadron at a time. The problem is on those bigger targets (airfields, towns, etc.), with the other loadouts, the AI would only drop one bomb (usually one of the bay bombs)...and this is not neaarly enough to get the damage needed to win the mission. The medium bombing loadout was the only one where the AI would drop all the bombd and get a win in the mission...so until that is fixed, I am afraid the only way the AI would win the mission was with that one loadout. Fuel should be rated? You mean varied with the mission? As far as more Yaks go-- I tried and frame rates went south rather quickly...but I am enjoying these Soviet planes (thanks Laika and Tail!) and may do a Yak campaign now with Pe-2's as support...I only wish we had a Il-2 in the game wink-wink Moose... Unfortunately, the only thing that dictates a mission win is getting the objectives...so as far as I know if you get the objectives and then get shot down, you still win...it is a very optimistic game, isn't it? ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! lfbpro Pilot	posted 08-13- 04:48 PM Thanks a lot for the explanations Jeeves,but i already had an idea upon the thing ;-) BTW the campaign is very nice and i like a lot to play the axis side too,the Laika Pe-2 is just too nice and a lot more when she's in flame. Moose_EAF322 Pilot	posted 08-14- 01:31 PM Jeeves, about the campain: In 2 missions ( Lights out and Overture ) i got a Crash to Desktop ( CTD ) When i changed in Overture the B17G into B17F the CTD was gone! Also, when i changed in Lights out 1 of the 2 B17G in B17F, the CTD was gone. Can you tell me more about this ?? When i fly B17G or B17F in trainingsmission , i have no problem. So..i can fly B17F or B17F and B17G,but not ONLY B17G it seems... hmmmm. In lights out, the Me262 did attack the B17's only AFTER they bombed target. At first they flew past them and did not attack. Also i noticed that the Go229's who are parked at the aircraft factory , showed up in my game as Me262's !! A bug ?? The tag was Go229 however. Moose IP: Logged

I have no problems with it...the only thing different about those 2 as compared to the others is that I am using the Me-262A1a/U4 in those 2...do you have that plane? And as far as the 262's attacking the B-17's...well sometimes they do and sometimes they don't I believe I turned the aggression and skill meters right up to the max...but nothing can help sucky AI I'm afraid. Tailslide Pilot	posted 08-15- 03:57 AM Jeeves, made it partway through the campaign.. doing good so far although those doras are chewing me up! I've been shot down twice already hehe Anyways you want to rename "SimpleCanopy.sm" to "Canopy.sm" if you are having FPS slowdowns on the yak. It runs smooth on my computer with 20 yak battles and the complex canopy but it seems things really vary between machines. TS IP: Logged

Jeeves Pilot	posted 08-15- 12:29 PM Thanks Tail...I will try it out Moose-- Well...my campaigns were never meant for online consumption (too much stuff as Jerry would say :P)...so I doon't feel restrained by using only planepack planes. My campaigns are intended for those who are more apt to fly offline...makes it more interesting...so you can change to the default 262 if you want, but I will keep the U4 in my campaign as it shows development of the German planes late in the war (I always shoot for as much historical accuracy as I can...but still try to make it fun to play)!
