Hey good news!

I've created a little exe - file that
changes your loader screen everytime you
launch a mission in SDOE!
Now the problem I have is, that I've
only scanned-in about 10 pictures (only
the best that I had).
Question: Is someone there who can send me
'good' pictures for the loading screen
(they should be 800x600 pix)?? Just the
picture and I will do the rest (text, etc,
etc.). Or just let me know what you would
like to see and I will search for this!

...and pls DON'T send me 'dirty' pic's ok!

The result will be a huge package with a lot
of new loader screens and the exe-file for
the switching....so stay tuned!

ok what I've done so far (for the first 10):
- scanned in a couple of WWII photo's
- surfed the web for good photo's
- surfed the web for WWII art (paintings)

..and retouched the images for the loader
screen

Personaly I would like to see rather photos
or paintings instead of just screen-shot's,
but hey everything goes!

It doesn't mater what kind of format, they just need to be 800x600 (or better) with a
good dpi. They can even be smaller but of
good quality.

Spanky here..

GT. How does your EXE work? Does it change it every time you start a new mission?
Can you make it load a random one from a certain folder depending on the theater and stuff? Cause that would rock. And maybe depending on the country you are flying for?

The WWI planepak has a WWI themed loader screen. Maybe you could get their permission to use that one.

I would love to use some of the B&W pictures of the week from fshangar. There have been many posted in the past that would be great to rotate through on loading.

Ok, this is some that I have. They are of various resolutions, most around 640x480 and 800x600 but also some 400x and some 1024x. If you find any of them interesting I'll be glad to send them to you. But as I have a modem connection I can't send them all, only about ten... Your choice!

Ah..D_mn. have to do this post in bits. Even the smileys seems to count as pics.

the files are in tif-format
(so no animation!)

..and no not random, just rotating
..and no it just changes everytime you start sdoe
..and no not theate/nation dependent

-> sorry guy's a lot of 'no'

in fact it's just a small C-program that copies the tif-file from a folder (rotating)
to the destination folder

gt... which ones?

Yes Spanky they're all from the net. Don't ask me where though as it's been some years. Check the various aviation art pages. Many of them I've also edited a lot.

I can't send any pictures today as it's getting late here. 'night.
