Well guys the pressure is now on.

As werner stated the next Nations release SHOULD only be a few weeks away now.....

I guess the only real problem is that apart from some 1st rate skins there still are no Aussie planes in SDOE.

I do have some thoughts on this - so I guess I'm after suggestions and/or volunteers to jump in head first.

Suggestions:

1. The F86 Sabre. Zur I believe you are going to do something along these lines. When it is finalised can we release a modified version (the CAC CA-27 Sabre)as a seperate aircraft under 'Australia' ?

2. The P51d Mustang. Australia built some under license as the CAC CA-18 Mustang Mk 21. After the current P51d has finished it's refit can we release a seperate aircraft under this name for 'Australia' ?

3. The Spitfire Vb. Australia took delivery of quite a few Spitfire Vc's. Briefly, the main difference was the inclusion of the 'tropical pack' cooling system. Is there a volunteer out there to mod the Vb to this configuration and release this as a seperate aircraft under 'Australia' as well ?

4. For the aircraft builders .... PLEASE consider the following planes whenever you get that urge/time/inclination to take on a long and difficult task .

a. CAC CA-16 Wirraway (trainer/dive bomber).
b. CAC CA-12 Boomerang (fighter/ground attack).
c. CAC CA-15 Kangaroo (prototype, kick arse fighter)(as depicted on my signature block).

For these aircraft I have access to 3-ways,spec's,performance and test pilot reports.

My problem is that I can't model for sh..t .

Well, any thoughts or volunteers ?

Cheers,

AGAS,

Aaah, so that's what that bird is! Isn't it sad that SDOE is about the only creator which can resurrect this and other aircraft?

It would be really fun to be able to see them fly again, at least in SDOE, the Cangooroo, that Martin Baker non-ejecting jobbie or for me personally PZLs P.11, P.23, P.37. Those were trully excellent desigs in their time, unfortunately with the exception of the P.37 already obsolete in September 1939 (although even painfully slow by then, the hundered odd PZL.11s available in 1939 were responsible for downing many in many cases, faster Luftwaffe planes.

Hmmm. I might be inclined to fix this up. The only change is the big scoop under the nose right? (I have a picture somewhere).

We're talking Mark V, right? With the little pointy wings, or the clipped wings, or the regular wings?

Is there a skin already made up for this? I'm not real good with skins.

If I do it, I'll probably do the clipped-wing desert version as well. Anybody got a good desert or Yank skin for the Spit?

You should have a P-40 to work with pretty soon too, right?

I got an American Spitfire MkVc (tropical) skin on my site (link below). I'm not sure this particular plane had clipped wing though. It was probably used (from Gibraltar or Malta?) during operation Torch and later transferred to the French.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Poniat, I luv that pic man ! can't wait to see that skin on a CA-15

Zur, thanks bro, I'll keep a close eye on your progress.

Jedi, I have all the details of the Vc. I'll get them to you as soon as can.

here's one of my skins for her (I have three more yet to be posted at my site)

And yep the P40 is a good Idea too. We had the P40 E/K/M/N. Perhaps we can mod the one being built to one of these as well.

Hmmm the Lysander....didn't know that I expect It'll be released as a pommy plane....but I'd be sh..t happy if we got a variant or copy to appear under 'Australia' as well. (I'll do some research on its Aussie service) ....thanks MrBlob.
