I cut and pasted the Juggs joystick into my Harrier as a test (I'll model one for it if I can get this to work), and the stick just sits rock solid still, no movement when I move my joystick. I didn't see any references in the file to P-47, so I'm not sure why it won't work.Any help out there? IP: Logged |

1.) make sure you copied the highest LOD (set view distance to 1)2.) make sure your DOF references calls match your control surface naming. IP: Logged |

Make sure your elevator and aileron DOFs have "names" in their properties. The Corsair and Ju-188 and I-16 all have working joysticks, so look at the properties for the ailerons and elevators on those. The stick itself has 'CDial properties like an instrument, but it has to key off of the "named" DOFs. Also, be sure the stick DOF is referencing the parent aircraft. More specifics if required... ------------------ --jedi-- IP: Logged |

Ok, got it. Silly me was referencing the dof that moves the stick and not the actual flight control. I was in such a rush to see it move I missed the obvious! You want the DOF to query the actual flight control, and so the flight control must have the ID like (dofID 'elevpos) and not the stick dof itself. (For any other newbies out there)Thanks for the help [This message has been edited by Pete Hawk (edited 08-08-2000).] IP: Logged |
