I'm trying to get some detailed aerial photos for the Singapore Supertif. I need jungle/forest and village pix. Any help would be appreciated. Nat, If you have a rough SM for Singapore please send it so I can layout the city, harbor, navalbase, airbase and villages. I dont want to have anything running up the side of a mountain. I have a very rough Supertif now but, I'm worried the coastline may be off.IP: Logged |

Hey Diego... my SM is a little to rough for you to make use of I think, but nothing to worry about, you build the texture and I'll make sure it fits alright, I haven't decided which way to go with the model yet.. build it complete from scratch or modify what I have, but shaping the coast line to the texture is either way not a problem. I'll see if I can dig any pics out that would be of use to you, but I didn't see any when I was lookin last time, I'll just look a bit deeper now.~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Does your SM have the basic elevations in it? Its easier for me to see a general lay of the land and place the different items according to where they might be. Midway was MUCH easier. It was all flat...land was about 15 ft of elevation all the way across. If the SM isnt workable I'll do what you suggest and just go for it. I D/L'd plenty of pix this morning off the net but, jungle canopies are too hard to come by...I'll do those by hand anyway. What I have so far is just land and sea (much more blue this time!)but, no detail on the coastline. IP: Logged |

well, unless yo uwant to wait with the texture then I'd say fill your boots The model is more than fluid right now, I was seriously considering using the Rhineland model and modify the coastline models, and that still might end up being the best way of doing this, but like you said, Midway was easy.. this one is seriously hard.. editing tile models and putting them back without leaving blue lines all over the place is daunting.. aswell as the fact tha I'm not 100% on how to smooth an object in Max.Tell you what, for the terrain in general map to Rhineland as I reckon this is gonna turn out to be the best option, then atleast you have the basic model and only the coastal/ocean areas will be changed. I'll package up the terrain so that you will have it all setup as I have right now, it should help some atleast. I might not be able to get it posted tonight, if not, I'll post it tomorrow and mail you a download link IP: Logged |

So let me get this right. You want me to use the Rhineland SM to lay my texture on and you'll adjust the SMs coastline to it? This makes sense. This is the Supertif. Nevermind the darkness, it will be fixed later.

yep thats cool When you think the coastline is how you want it then if you could send me a basic texture like last time (or give me a d/l url) then I'll put the coast to it.. that will take some time but hey.. we just love doing this right? LOLI'll get Singapore through to you asap, it's all there barring the correct coastal shape, it's stand alone ans looks like you have used the same super texture name as I have (singaporeSuper). Tell you what Diego.. I'm glad we picked Midway to do first.. LOL IP: Logged | |
