If you have "True Lies" you might be able to snag one or two from there since I beleive it does show Ar-nold booting the sucker up ..er.. firing the sucker up DVD would be your best bet...IP: Logged |

Thanks for the tip. Now I need a DVD player Thanks Dauntless for the two cockpit pics! Now, if only I could get a color one as well. I may see about finding a model of one somewhere too. IP: Logged |

I think I got something like that in a book at home. I'll scan it and post it here, but I do not remember the quality.-Gecko =FC= IP: Logged |

I'll have a chat with the old man this weekend. He was Chief Air Enginnering Officer for the flight trials unit of the sea harrier. Since avionics are his bag, he may have a pic or two. He's just bought a scanner too....See what I can find P.S. True Lies always makes me laugh.....hovering a Harrier over cars, people, 22,000lbs of thrust, 20,000lbs airframe, VERY hot exhaust and nothing gets toasted. I've stood as close as it's safe to a hovering Harrier, and it's truly mind-blowing. The noise has to be heard to be believed. i know. i've seen harriers about 4 times. hovering right in front of me. the noise is incredible . that along with the tornado are the loudest things i've heard. well except for that big carbomb that destroyed the courthouse a few years ago.IP: Logged |

Darth, This is actually the Hawker-Siddeley XV-6A "Kestrel" and not a Harrier. I'm just calling it a Harrier so people have a general idea of what the plane does, VTOL. Here's a pic of the real thing... http://members.xoom.com/hawkersop/images/2000 Kestrel.jpg Gecko, thanks! Those are VERY helpful! Now, the hard part is finding a good pic of the throttle quadrant panel. IP: Logged |
