I have been taking screen shots from another flight sim (Fighter Ace) and have tried several formats to save them in, but they all come out blurry. The original pictures are clear and crisp. I have tried saving them as BMP.JPG and GIF's but when I upload them the picture quality is crap. What is the best format? Here is how they have been turning out http://pub10.ezboard.com/fnoflyzonebountyhunterslistyourbadboyshereandsetyourrewards.showMessage?topicID=18.topic IP: Logged |

Those are all JPGs on the link you sent. The JPEG compression scheme is designed to compress photographic-type images. Anything with line-art type info, like the text, comes out as blurry. Depending on what software you're using to convert to JPG, you can tell it how much compression you want. In order to make the text look good the software won't be able to compress the image very much. The downloads will be pretty large. For example, that last image is about 36k as posted. In order to make the text look good you'll probably have to choose a compression factor that gives you a 100+k file. IP: Logged |

Gif's are the way to go for smaller pics. Jpegs dont work well, and I suggest TRIPOD.IP: Logged |
