Nat, yesterday I was practicing landings on the Ark Royal with the new Midway Terrain. I flew in really low and attempted to do a touch and go.... well I didnt even hit the deck (or anything else) but when I flew really low at the rear of the carrier something hit me and made me tumble to the deck. I tried it agian and the same thing. Any idea what could be causing this? I fear this may be the reason for many a nose over on landing. (I thought it was because the deck was sloped in the rear, but it appears to be something else now)IP: Logged |

I've been nosed over like this aswell, but same as you I thought I was catching the slope, I know that there's not hidden objects back there so I don't think it's that, but I had a similar problem with the Hood.. some part of the ship that doesn't show up anywhere at all, but if I placed guns in a certain potition you could see the gunfire hitting it, and it would sink the ship.. I guess the Ark Royal could have a similar problem, but if it has there's no way I could find it, I never did with the Hood, I just moved the guns so you can't fire at the bad spot in space.. on a good note, I got an F4 down on the ark royal last night playing your Akagi mission.. I did nose down because I had the brakes locked, but I did finish on the wheels even with a bent prop.. lolIP: Logged |

Hmmm... that inviso part thing is wierd. Nat, you landed! Way to go! I landed as well with NO broken parts! I spun around on the deck after I landed (due to the tailbrake on the F4u) and survived. One more question about the Royal... are these foward and rear gunns supposed to be on the deck like that? Look at the rear guns in this pic to see what Im talking about. IP: Logged |

Argon, about the guns, well, if I had gotten the model 100% corect, they would be slightly below deck level, but the deck is cut out there, meaning.. they are in the right position, but should be about 10 feet lower, effectivley no actual deck area has been lost because there wouldn't be any deck where the guns are on the model, it's kinda an open sided gun pit.
