Thanks... I love doing work for this.. the best online community I've ever seen, thanks for the encouragement you've all given, and I'm sure will continue to give, and all your very kind remarks about the stuff I've done in the past (ships etc) and especially for the terrain that Diego and I have done. I love the terrain, and one day soon I'll even fly over it myself for pleasure instead of for work You guys make it all worth doing ~Nat~

Nat,Do you think you can make a terrain with one large square polygon and 1 256x256 texture? [This message has been edited by mposis (edited 07-31-2000).] IP: Logged |

MP, I'm not sure.. .I was told someone tried this once and it didn't work, I think it could be done, but that the FR might suffer from it since it would never clip out, and although the texture is only 256, stretching it overthe poly would hurt for sure (although on a flat terrain it should be ok), I know the texture for the Ark Royl is only 256, but streched over a big hull seems to be eating FRIP: Logged |

Nat,I think you are correct. I don't know why FR suffers when textures are stretched. I notice this in the cockpits and the carriers too. IP: Logged |

what if you tiled the 256x256 texture all the way across the whole polygon?IP: Logged |
