Laika 801 Pilot	posted 07-30- 06:25 AM Hmmm, some kind of glass is in, it uses a 32x32 sized transparent texture which needs some repainting and it slows down the game only a small bitty (at least I cant fly with it). I fixed the 'cloudGlass object too, works fine. Dont mind that the "Oil Pressure" texture is not in, it is done, but in the wrong folder...need to do some more needles of course. Horizon does not work - I simply do not understand how it should work (never saw any in real life), so I could not fix it. All in all for the panel - textures need some more detail, about 2 days of work I think. And I'll add the side panels too (might be only partly functional). What else to say - I still NEED some input from Tailslide for the Wing/Fuse DM. CAN'T finish it without some tips. When will I release the first Version (call it a beta if you want) ? Hmmm - first the DM should work (Engine, Props and Tanks work more ore less perfect) and FM should be good too, while I "wait" for the necessary things - I'll do some work on the panels and such stuff. The plane is fun just to fly around, not even considering the excellent DM :-) Laika- I hope you can add your damage improvements to the I-16. It would be cool if you and Tailslide released updated versions of all 3 Russian planes at the same time :-) charm IP: Logged

By comparison with this it looks like Parsoft released a few Beta planes when they shipped the game...... THis one is so polished you can see your face in it! All we need now is a russina heavy ( IL4 perhaps) and an improved Tundra terrain and we have yet another game..SDOEE, screaming demons over eastern europe! But simple to solve : copy all (really all) things from the original texture from latest (full) .zip file, except your new (?) painted fuse and engine parts etc. There must be a black (or dark grey) part in the upper right corner of the tiff (for the panel). copy the "red area" with tire textures etc. too ! Laika 801 Pilot	posted 08-02- 08:38 AM This is what it should look like Aladar ! As you can see (or not) I updated the pics. I wonder if the "turnball" works the right way - looks strange somehow !? Dont ask for the horizon... Anyway - there is still some work but also some progress I thought about the glass again, I think it does really not slow down the game, cause it is only 32x32 and it is the only transparent texture I use in the cockpit. Laika 801 Pilot	posted 08-03- 02:58 PM 4 hours for the gear DM - alot (too much !) of fiddling with all the dof's involved...I fcked up the whole gear-system 2 times and, silly me, no good backups....waaa - however it works pretty good now, detaches at high speed and breaks too. LK IP: Logged

Laika 801 Pilot	posted 08-04- 06:50 PM Hehehe - ArgonV I think your're the last one who still reads this - last days before release are "strange" somehow , so this one is for you: Well, my skin is finished (or at least is at 95 %) , I discovered a small "unlogical" thing in the DM, its a fix of 5 minutes - no problem However still some points on the "ToDo" list - like hangar pic+plane describtion etc. and of course the side panels...but in 4 days I'm "finished" LK IP: Logged

ArgonV Pilot	posted 08-04- 11:56 PM Laika, It just came to me.... I do GUI stuff! I'll be more than happy to do the plane description, pics, hangar mission, and training missions for you if you like. Question: If I do the training missions and hangar mission, do you want to use the Winter Rhineland terrain for them or just Rhineland or would you like to have an option to use both? Just curious, because for all the Soviet aircraft I have, I use Winter Rhineland. Russia is known for its blizzards and tons of snow. But then agian, not everyone has Winter Rhineland. P.S. I cant however do the stats pic below the plane pic. I dont have photoshop or any decent program to do that with. Thats the only GUI stuff I cant do....
