Here are some suggesions after testing on-line with others as to "would it work" to improve the SDOE War we have.Problems:
1) At the moment there is NO way of strategic attack as the enemy can see you on the map and in the air.
2) There is no real running plane set as each side useds the same planes time after time......
3) there is no real aim as such....
Preposed ideas which i think we need to vote for:
1) Use the Fighter Squadron Beta 1 version to TURN OFF enemy on map (or release a small patch to do this would be better). This way you would NEEd CAP to find the enemy, you would be able to attack at low or high alt with a chance of reaching your target!
Maybe, but not at first turn off HUD to make aircraft identification harder (i do understand that for some users this is very hard and so maybe test it first)
2) HAVE a running plane set a bit like in Warbirds. What you do is set an eara per week or set a time scale say one real week = 4 WAR weeks starting in 1939. We then have only basic aircraft at first....advancing on to later aircraft at the end. This will make FULL use of all of the planes.
3) Finally ho about having smaller campaigns within the war like the Battle of Britain and the Battle of France. With the running plane set this wouldn't be to hard and mush more fun. We would use dover map for all three missions in that conquest per week until that campain was over. Then you move on to the next campain with different affects.
Or something like that.....
All i'm suggesting is we make something good, better instead of just silly little skimishes in the sky without being able to plan or use tactics fully.
