thank you guys!!! I bought a postcard in Vienna once which displayed a picture of a Salamander, kept in a don't know RAF museum in England. But how many RAF museums exist in England?

RAF Museum, Hendon. It's a must. And, ah silly me: Old Warden - Home of the Shuttleworth collection. Go to those two places, and to Duxford, and you've almost seen it all!

RAF Cosford is the only other major site not on the list (the only one I haven't visited).

Science Museum, maybe not the strictly aviation, but when you finished touring the proper ones you may want to visit them, some nice aircraft engines they have there.

And don't forget to take some kind of a tent or a trailer to Hendon with you, they close it for nights
