I purchased FS the other day after reading about the openplane concept in a May 2000 review. I love the game so far, except Im having some video card problems with my Voodoo 3000. But I'll work it out. Anyway, Im a recovering online flightsim addict, who had to take a break from Aces High for awhile. I fly strickly Luftwaffe and usually the 109 in whatever model. Anyway, just wanted to say Hello.

Welcome,

Your video card problem may be the same one as I had. I have a voodoo 3000 as well. Using glide, sdoe will lock up after about 5 minutes. Change your video driver selection from glide to d3d inside sdoe. If you are expriencing these lockups( I am just guessing here), this will fix your problem. The bad thing though is you get lower frame rates with d3d driver.

Condor out

To fix the glide problem, uninstall the card and reinstall it with only the most current drivers. There seems to be a problem if you just upgrade the drivers. I've also found that the Factory CD drivers work great also. My 3d modeling computer is running the CD drivers and i can play for hours with no problems.

Thanks guys for the help. I think Ive got it to where it will at least suffice for now. Im still hoping that FS will come up with a patch to help the glide feature within Voodoo cards to function properly or 3dfx or whoever.

Snickers, I can see where your coming from. My favorite missions are with spits over the channel. But then the desert is really neat and then theres the Rhineland, and what about the....... hehee

I havent had big problems with mine, but I think its a relatively poor card. Last 3dfx product I buy.
