Hey guys, well, Wil asked me to take a look at the JUEF128 he's workin on, so, after some testing here's my thoughts on her, and a couple of pics (they look dark to me, hope you see them ok.. lol)

First of, test notes. Since this is a beta aircraft, I can't rip it apart, yes there's a lot of minor work to do, but you'd expect that, so I'll comment on main points I found.

Good Stuff
1. Main point, it's damn fun to fly!
2. Stalls, the stalls on this are great, with such a sweep on the wings you'd expect stalls, and the 128 give you them, I stall it, the AI stalls it, and just knowing that they AI can and will stall an aircraft is great I think.
3. Manouvrebility, high, she turns when you want her to, she jumps into turns an banks. Now this you might think would make it a little over the top, it doesn't, black and redouts will tame your turns and banks, and as I said above she stalls like you'd expect a swept wing a/c to, so you gotta watch what you're doing. As a test yesterday I put her into a flat spin (I've never been able to do this deliberatley in other a/c) at 2000ft, and I recovered it at 400ft, I like that if I spin in a 109 I almost never recover, and then only if I have 10,000ft under me.
4. Landing is not hard.

OK, bad points..
1. AI wont attempt take off.
2. Top speed is very low at about 280mph, after tweaking the engine I got her up to just over 300, but I'm fairly sure it needs alot more.
3. She pulls to the right in flight and has to be trimmed off alot
4. She shakes alot in flight, almost like the vibration before you rip the wings off due to excessive speed.
5. a lil damage problem.. she flys just aswell after having the tail section blown off her as before.

Thats about it really, there are lots of "fine details" still be be sorted, but primarily it's moving down the right road far as I'm concerned, she fun, and due to "stallability" she's also a challange to fly.

My tests were conducted in a 4on4 mission, JUEF128 vs P51D's and were very very well matched, all sliders set to max ofcourse. I also tested against P38's with similar, but slightly better results for the 128.

So, lets hope he gets this Baby finished in the near future cause it is alot of fun to fly.. when you fly against them they kinda remind you of nats.. buzzing all around you and you can't quiet swat them.. lol

Onto the pics: SevenMonkeys JUEF128

Now that is a very interesting looking aircraft. More secret weapons for the Luftwaffe! Now the Americans need some. A Bell Aircomet?

Spanky here...

That looks great. Can't wait to try it out.

It almost motivates me to try some openplane again.

Spanky,
Hopefully the finished plane will do just that. --wil
