Well, I just found out today (after only working for 6 days..... yes I worked on a Saturday ) That in just over a week I will be packing it up and heading out. The company I work for (Alpine Helicopters, incase you don't read the off topic forum) is heading up to some base camps in northern Canada (BC, AB) and I'm going with them. I will be gone for the rest of the summer, returning in late September early October. There is like little to no chance of me coming home between jobs (Which is cool, cause that means more $$$.... and after college I NEED IT! lol). What does that all mean for the Dauntless and the Huey? Well, since buying a notebook comp. is out of my price range right now, they will be put in the hangar untill I get back. I really do want to get a notebook.... just something that will barely run FS, but I think the most I can scrounge up is $500 bucks

I'm writing this now because I'm not sure if I'll make it back on the comp. before I go.... have alot to do.

Just picked up some TP and some bug spray thats 95% DEET, so I'm ready to go!

2 months........ I can't wait to see what you guys come up with in that time. I'm sure it will be amazing!

Take it easy guys! Good luck with your projects and the War!

Cheers!

I wonder if they've developed a fabric that's made of DEET. That's whatcha need.

CONGRATULATIONS Jaguar! You held out for what you love to do, and you scored!!!

Glad to hear your moving up in the world (no pun intended.. I wish you luck, and thanks for all the help with the hanger over the years.

You know since you said you was going to put your stuff in the hangar, why not just upload them to a jag dir on the HANGAR server so we would work on the stuff while your gone. we might surprise you when you come back.

Good luck!

Spanky here...

Have a good time Jag, Hope ya can afford that laptop after a few of these trips.

Jerry, I think the kinda base camp he is talking about is one that uses generators for power and gas cooking equip so theres probly no phone service at the site.

Its probly the back country and not close to any towns or citys.

well nutz to the laptop idea. I need to unplugg for a few months anyways. I will upload all my OP projects to the hangar incase you guys want to check them out.

I doubt there will even be phones at any of these camps. it's just like spanky said.

LOL nothing beats piza!.... ofcourse I'm the last person around here to be complaining about that type of thing

I got it covered though, there's this place in town (Awsome pizza) that makes 24" pizza, so I figure about 30 of those should hold me till I get back...... man, thats alot of beef and tomatoes!

I didn't upload my vietnam map.... I doubt anyone is interested but here's what I did upload:

None if it is close to being complete.

-CF-105 Avro Arrow (Takes the place of the P-80 and flys like....... well.... it doesn't )
-Typhoon Dover Campaign (15 out of 25 missions, still haveto make the remaining 12 in the Rhineland map)
-Drop Tanks for the P-51D, P-38, FW 190 (see readme file *CAUTION* DO NOT OVERWIRTE YOUR VERSION OF THE startup.ppf file. Believe it or not, the current version already has the necessary entries for these drop tanks (So thats what they are incase anyone has wondered what the: "aircraft/weapons/droptank.sm", "aircraft/weapons/38tank.sm", and "aircraft/weapons/190tank.sm" where all about )
-UH-1A Huey Latest version (Flys ALOT better!)
-YB-40 (Gunship version of the B-17 that actually saw action in WWII. Takes the place of the B-17G)
-A-10 (Just moved some stuff around on the 262)
-He 111 pictures (Mainly for brian, but I kept on forgetting to post them for him)
-Prop Butt Man (yes, he's back! A moving soldier with a sever skin problem. Takes the place of the funkytruck)

Grab all of this here:
http://www.fshangar.com/jaguar/

And thats basically it as far as my OP projects go.... Jedi has a more up to date version of the dauntless then I do so I didn't post it.

The only problem is that the T/M is screwed on the new huey fuselage. The miniguns have been replaced by door gunners.
