Snickers Pilot	posted 07-17- 10:49 AM Saturday, working out back on a new garden. I hear this familiar noise. Startle (not expecting to hear it) I look up and out (not too far up btw...). What do I see? 2 P51's flying in a 2 element formation. (I wish I could fligh wing that tight...) Sometimes its nice to be located South of Chino, West of Palm Springs and North of San Diego. I get some sort of airshow about every other weekend, but this was the best yet... Where was my camera you ask? In the house with no film (not that I would have budged to go get it. In that amount of time, they would have been gone....) So you can just sit out there and be jealous all you want . As for me? Todesvogel Cadet	posted 07-17- 08:57 PM I miss Snata Monica. I used to be so cool to live on 4th ST, right under the flight path of Santa Monica Airport. Why was this cool? Because the Musuem of Flying ( http://www.museumofflying.com/ )is located at the airport, and once a month the a Spit (don't know which one, prolly not the IX) would overfly our apt. On occasion, a few of the other hotties would come over, one after the other. Unfortunately, I never hopped out on the balcony fast enough to catch the Musuem's Bearcat (I faced west, and the airport was due east). And judging by the web site, the Cat is no longer there (maybe the Hellcat is still there?). I wish I could have found a decent job in Calif. IP: Logged
