I'm thinking of working on Kraft's P-39. I have it on my list but i need any info and images i can find. Since i still have no net at home i can surf for stuff. If you guys can help me out and find images and info and post it back here i might be able to do something with the plane.------------------

Razer I've got a book (published in the '40s, I know it doesn't sound right) thats got the P39. It's got a great cut away drawing on it and some other info on it too. It's funny because they talk about how this is "The Plane" of all planes. I can bring it to work an scan it if you like. This could take a few days to do this. The files might get a little big but I'll try an keep it down. If you do want it let me know, but where do I send it (you have no net at home right now)? Maybe I can send it to someone else and they can post it for you. Himdog outIP: Logged |

too late heres some operational info. It was not very successful in the Pacific theater, however the Russians got about 1000 P39s by Lend-Lease and they seemed to be happy with em. IP: Logged |

Dude, I've got tons of pics! Thought you had enough too, so I didn't send it. I have two cockpit shots that are good, and several outside shots, Also, on the WPafb museum site there's great info on the allison V1710, (weights and figures). I found a page called the great gun debate which had all the relevant info for the 37 millimeter cannon, can't remember where it went to though. Hell, I even contacted Bell Aircraft but that turned out to be a dead lead.IP: Logged |

The P-39 was a flop as an interceptor. But nothing could beat it for close ground support.
