Hi all,Anyone ever thought about the meteor? Should be a nice addition to the game (timeframe ect.) And, if not, is it a too ambitious project for a first-timer? Otherwise I will think about giving it a think Gr. Hertog IP: Logged |

hhhmmm I was thinking about this one...but not the 'Meteor'...the 'Gladiator' would be nice.I will try with this one, but it will be a 'fake' (that means a copy-n-paste work, see the CR-42 as example) cheers gt ------------------ GT's HANGAR (home of the 'italian-fake' project) IP: Logged |

Gterl, With all do respect, I think if someone has a 3d program and wants to give it a more authentic look than a fake, I think that person gets priority and the call of the plane. Sorry Gterl. As for Hertog, go for it man!IP: Logged |

How about a Cr.42 too or do we have one?"combat between the Fiat CR.42 Falco and the Gladiator would bee a fascinating duel between the two best biplane fighters in the world. The CR.42 had a slight speed advantage, the Gladiator a slight armament advantage. In the matter of maneuverability the aircraft were about equal, and each was lightweight in construction. A combat between them would be decided on the skills of the opposing pilots. The outcome could go either way. " IP: Logged |

And I've got both from Combat Flight Simulator. If MDL2DXF will do the business, they might make a good starting point for someone.See the thread in Tech Talk for the full details. I have to agree with Laika's comment on working with a model you didn't build....~It's not as easy as you might think! I found they make a good plan outline if you screenshot the models and use them in AC3D. Saved hunting for 3 way views! IP: Logged |

HERTOG - I think you could do what you want if you like it. If you care what the comunity "needs" I wont build the Gloster Meteor (280 or so build ?), but if you like it - do it ! Simple shapes, one pilot - seems not to hard for the begin ! Anyway - read Sv's fine tutorials when/before you start ! Best wishes and GOOOOD LUCK ! LK IP: Logged |
