Just kidding! Its not another Emil but the Mistel instead! I know it doesnt look historicly accurate, but just trying to get the concept to work with Open Plane is a feat in itself. I would appriciate ANY help and ideas to get this working correctly. Here's a pre pre pre Alpha teaser pic.

Right now the Bf-109 is attached to the Ju-88 (although there are no supports yet) You CAN jump into the Bf-109 and Ju-88 cockpits. But at present you can only control the Ju-88 from either cockpits. They are both CAricraft (the Ju-88 isnt a bomb that looks like an aircraft) and this thing does fly. When I hit F5 to actually switch planes(instead of hitting F7 to just change positions) and then F6 for the Ju-88 I get a CTD.

This will be a long work in progress...

Ok Ive updated some things since that pic. I moved the pilot body to the Bf-109. I also put the cockpit back on the bf-109 and got its propFast working. I deleted all the pylons, guns and gun positions off the Ju-88 (this thing was stripped right?)

It was more than stripped. The cockpit was replaced with a bolt on bomb warhead, looking ...... odd

I have some pics of it somewhere if they are any help.

Actually, the earlier Mistels did not have the bolt on bomb warhead. The Mistel S1 for instance was no more than a striped down Ju-88 A-4 with some explosives in the cockpit and a Bf-109F held on top with struts. The later Mistels such as the 3C had the bolt replacement.

P.S. I do my homework yes?

Might be that I miss something - all I know (not much) about the mistel-conzept is that the Ju88 was used as a bomb, with no control after release. So I wonder, why not make a Ju88 bomb (remove all "useless" properties like gear-dofs...crew positions, remove all useless parts..., tune the phyInertiaThings) and place it on a extra pylon with a nice lod ? This way you wont run into problems ?!

Years ago I worked with bombs in OPS and there was nothing special in the .sm file, just some airfoils and phyInertia. So it should work !?

There was also a trainer version wih a longer fuselage and manned Ju-88 cockpit. The longer fuselage was to prevent the Me's prop hitting the cockpit.
