It just occured to me. We have WWII Pacific planes... we have WWII Pacific American planes... but we have no WWII carriers for these American Pacific planes to take off from. I have to resort using the Akagi and the Zuikaku. Why has no one made a WWII American Carrier? Just a request. IP: Logged |

If you've got some pictures and a good 3-way I might have a bash. I've just got hold of AC3D and am looking for something not too complex to have a crack at. Don't have any reference on US carriers though.....got jap ones..... IP: Logged |

I'm sure there's a WW2 Saratoga about...somewhere.....maybe Pete Hawke was working on one a while ago.Tailgunner, I have a pre-alpha (basic shape might be good)sm file of the Yorktown/lexington if you want them. Perhaps a start point ? let me know. Good luck and Cheers,

http://warship.simplenet.com/images/Yorktown/ found this site....should help with the modelling! Seems there were 2 Yorktown carriers. CV5, sunk and then the Essex class CV10 build shortly after. Going to try for the earlier CV5, which saw action at the Coral Sea and Midway. IP: Logged |

Have more pictures, and it fits better with the Pacific planes we have to date. IP: Logged |

u now when u have a gun boat u can go to the gun views and controle the guns. well could someone do that with a carier like we could have protecktion guns on the (cos they did u now)also could we make a top level(deck)bottom level(hanger)and we could have a lift or mayby 2 going between the 2 floors that is assingned to a button. so u park your plane on a lift shut down fold the wings up then go to the Carrier and hit f6 then press the lift button and buuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and the plane is on the bottom level.is this possabe or is it a no brainer.

Biggles, seems your a little behind the times.. the Akagi has AA fitte that you can control if you like, made by mposis also, I'm not sure if he's finished his latest carrier yet, but that one has working lifts from the hanger bay.~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Yep still going. The wife gave birth to our second child three weeks ago, and the lack of sleep is taking it's toll. Still, we have hull, the deck is on, and I'm doing the deck bits and turrets etc. Trying to get the hang of texturing in AC3D. Hope to have something to test ( minus the guns ) fairly soon. Fear not, this will get done......zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzz IP: Logged |
