I decided to put wing retracts on the F4F-4. I may need some help later on, but for now the project is going well. However, when I get the DOFs all nice and happy, would it be possible for one of you modelers to add the bars, hydrolics and stuff that make the wings retract?

When you finish send it over my way. It has a multitude of problems since it was hurried for the contest and while im on summer break I might as well put some more time into it. Of course, if you feel like fixing any of the problems yourself, by all means please do

I think biggest priority is fixing the shadow, plus the prop hub seems to cause a small pink dot at distance (likely a bug in a low level lod)

I can make the parts you need if you like but the F4F-4 is starting to get poly intensive (700-800 I believe). Also, the wings arent cut where theyre supposed to retract (about 2-3 feet from the fuselage).

Yes, the wings arent cut in the right places... but so far it still looks kewl! I'll experiment on the shadow (Ive never done shadows before but nows a good time to start!) and I'll see if I can fix the LOD switching pink hub. Any other problems I should know about? The F4F-4 runs quite well on my computer (I have a fast computer) so I can handle the high poly count. If other people find it too much I guess they will have to stick to the origonal F4F-4. So far I got the wings retracting just right, but they dont fold back into their origonal positions the way I want them to yet. Does anyone know how to make multipul DOFs go in reverse in an ordered sequence? I would greatly appriciate it if you could cut the wings in the right spots and add the hydrolics when Im finnished!

ArgonV,

It's nice to know about your intention improving this great plane.
Are you thinking to change some things in the FM later?

Thanks.

Sounds like you ran into the same shit problem i did! I got the F4F-4 wings retracting perfectly, but when they folded back out, that precision timing got all F****D up. But, hey if you get it to work, CONGRATS!!

Hmm... Sorry Argon, lost mine after it got currupted by OPS. And as for the sequence in reverse, well, ask Sv, somehow he got the timing to work backwards for the SE5a's foster mount. My reverse sequence never worked.
