yard stick you sre great. my dad flew sunny 8 on the airshow scene for a good 10 years and he was the most proficiant pilot on the aircraft befour it crashed in america (lukely my dad was not flying in that show becase he was sick but he would of been)
my dad thins that your sunny 8 skin is great very detailed in all maners.:-)
my dad said there are a few miner details that could be corected and he could probebly send you some close in photoes.(of him flyng it.

this is what my dad sais on the subject
"the p51 is alot more stable in flight and it doesent do the flicking thing with full back stick on. it will at lower the 135 knots but that is basicly it.
the spit is quite a good representation of real life and is very stable in flight and i think it does not need eny tweeking but the 51 does."

Thanks Biggles3, I only just saw this post as I was in Cape Town when you originally posted it. I used a picture in Roger Freeman's 'The Mighty 8th in Colour' as a guide. However I think that the colours may be a little too intense. As I plan on re-painting all my P-51 schemes once the enhanced version comes out, I would be interested in any comments your dad may have.

BTW did he know Hoof Proudfoot - I was there the day he went in flying 'California Cutie' - very nasty.
