Hi, all. When shooting up bombers, is it possible to take out each gunner individually? I.e, on the first pass on a Ju 88, could you kill the backgunner, come around again for a second pass and finish the 88 at your leisure, knowing that it can't retaliate? Just curious. IP: Logged |

Sorry - I think this is not (yet) possible with the sipped versions of the planes. Cause they are "manned" only with one crew-sm-file (wich is more or less "killable"). But it is not hard to add more crew members (i.e. to the gunner-positions) to the planes. This woulda change the FM, cause every new added crew-sm file would add weight (163 lbs) to the plane, so it might be more work to keep the FM right. LK IP: Logged |

I wish you could kill the gunner. I find the AI gunners, especially in the Ju 88, to be unrealistically deadly. I have had them open up on me at 2100 feet and be spot on. I really notice it in Jeeves' Dover missions.IP: Logged |

in the original b-17 on the amiga/pc you could kill the crew and give them medical attention aswell if they got injured. You could also get fires in different areas and then have to put them out. I don't believe that things like that are essential though because there is only you in the plane and you have to concentrate on piloting and shooting. would be good for multiplayer though and single player when we all have 3 ghz processors.IP: Logged |

Jerry - same here - I tried to kill the Pe2 with a Fw190, no chance !! The gunners are too accurate, I'll try to fix this (if it is possible) and when it works I'll inform you.LK IP: Logged |

ok.. then how come we can kill the ships guns individually and not aircraft guns? The ships guns aren't manned effectivley.. could the same principle not be applied to aircraft.. I think so... if you remove the option to fire blanks, then effectively the guns can be removed from the loadout file, allowing guns to be added in exactly the same way as for the ships, and therefore allowing individual gunners positions to be killed.Yes.. this would work. I see no reason why not anyway. ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Being able to kill them would be an improvement...but when they can open up with deadly accuracy from half-a-mile away it's almost a moot point.IP: Logged |

Yes, as with the ships, you would still be able to control them as gunner positions or the AI would use them, there would be no difference except they wouldn'y fire blanks, and you could kill them seperatelyIP: Logged |

Has anyone just plain thought of adding a damage model to the turret itself so when it reaches damage level 10 it doesnt work anymore? BTW, how do you shorten the length of gun fire?
