Wacky. You might try deleting your texture cache files before going to that extreme. That is, unless you were going to do it anyway. ------------------ -=TheReaper=-

Love the colours. I had that happen to me too, (Voodoo 3). I did like ReaperMan said and all ok. The strangest textures I ever had show up was an aircraft skin all across a hillside. The skin was there as a ground texture, looking just like it does in Paint Shop. Only happened once, I think it was the Spit. Don't for the life of me know why that happened, but once again deleted the texture cache. It's been fine for awhile now. ------------------ silas Demon's Runway Fortes fortuna adiuvat IP: Logged |

I just deleted my texture cache files the other day because Dover turned completely black! That fixed the black, but a day later I am in technicolor land.I will re-install SDOE, I have two installs now, one for WW2 and one for WW1. WW1 works fine, WW2 has this texture bug plus I can not fly a mission for more than 3 minutes, it crashes to desktop everythime -Sv IP: Logged |

I had the same problem except it cause my machine to lockup. My solution after trying many changes in options or graphic card preferences was to chk off gun smoke and tracer smoke. This solution came from a SDOE member. And i started to have this problem after replacing my banshee board with a voodoo3 2000. So if your graphic card is a voodoo3 2000 then this solution should work for you. Good luck [This message has been edited by The MS express (edited 06-21-2000).] IP: Logged |

Hey Sv,I had the same problem myself a while ago. I did not delete the texture cache, but did this within the sim by selecting the conserve hard drive option, starting all the theaters, and deselecting it again. I never reinstalled it again, and it still seems to work . -Geco =FC= IP: Logged |

I think Siggi has been creeping up behind us while we play SDOE late at night, unseen, and spiking our drinks with hallucinagens while our attention is glued to the screen.Unfortunately, I live too far from Siggi. Rats. Mk10=225th= IP: Logged |

Ive had a similar problem with that in Aces Over Europe before with the user made planes. A restart of the game fixed that. Never encountered it in SDOE however. IP: Logged |

I had the same problem using a V3-2000, and after showing that bizarre pattern, my PC would lock up.I changed my AGP aperture size (in BIOS) to the lowest possible (4 Mb, from 64 Mb), and the problem stopped. Have no idea why, but it worked, so I liked it. Geo IP: Logged |
