The first campaign from the first day of the first SDOE WAR is over. Reports from corresponents will be posted soon.

In the mean time we have some images on the "How to land a Me262 thread" and I also have one I really want to share with you.

This shot was taken from the Rhineland 1 mission. The Allies had returned to base, but what they didn't know was they had company.....

This 109 pilot later met his maker.

Thanks PR-- that was a good memory And no- I did not meet my maker! Spyder and I took off again and gave chase but I believe this was spin and he found a hillside to be quite unfriendly...we later gave chase to Werner in his speedy 262 but gave up as he quickly pulled away Hope he ran out o' gas

Jeeves - Ahem. I didn't "run away" any more than you "took the bait"! I was luring you and (Mirthain?) further into Axis territory hoping you'd forget about fuel and I'd get two more 'kills' without firing a shot. >:D I only baited you guys becuase YOU Jeeves, YOU weren't sure if the base you kept buzzing was axis or allied!!! Hahahaha!!!! ;) I'd have died laughing if the axis captured not only a Mustang, but a Spitfire to disoriented Allied pilots!! ROTFLMAO!!!

Hehe, a pity you didn't follow me all the way to Berlin, the weather is fine there right now!

Werner :)

OK tough guy...

First of all... my Mustang's fuel gauge was reading fine there bub -- I had plenty of time! And besides that, a 262 at full throttle will burn fuel a hell of a lot faster that a Pony...and you would be easy pickings in a glide...if you don't believe me-- contact me for a flight

And second of all...after getting an answer from an ALLIED pilot, I knew where I was and where I was going :P LOL!! I just wanted to see if you would run out of gas...and I didn't want to get strafed on the ground, so Spyder and me took off again after you and spin...spin hit a hill (or lost connection or something) and I figured it would be interesting to see what you were up to...too bad we didn't get into it...I would've liked to see the outcome

Oh yeah...Mirth was landing...it was Spyder and myself who were after you...in Ponies

I can assure you I didn't hit a hill in that mission, I had to bail from my 262 after some Allied scum pilot took out my tail. Long before this exchange developed.

This is the wonderful mission where I pulled the court martialable offence of shooting a cannon into my wing leader's right engine while we paused on the runway! (My regrets can't replace the life we lost - sorry Birds) - nor the 2 Me262s attributed to my blunders.

Great fun to watch though.

The Eastern Front is cold at this time of year. Especially in the ancient DVII the Axis is making me fly recon in.

Spin

P.S. Does anyone else have their guns tied to their left mouse button in the keyboard.inp? I really should fix it so I zoom in and out with it without shooting the guns. By the way it only takes one cannon round from an Me262 to destroy an Me262 even online.

Spin - I'd have flown to Moscow to visit you but... neeeeah. Jeeves- I'll file that offer for future reference. I can't take you up on it right now, but trust me, I will. Btw, what did you expect, an AXIS pilot to tell you not to land on our base? Hey, after capturing that Mustang in Africa we figured anything was possible!! Btw we're still fighting over who gets to fly it. I love it! Just wait until our propaganda bureau gets fired up. hehehehe, Sparky (or whoever the allied CO is this week) will likely be banishing the pilot of that plane to the same 'air conditioned' locale as our good friend Spin...

Dontcha love post game trashtalk...
