With the recent announcement that the Mac version of FS is just three months away, I was wondering if there were still any Mac users at this board. I guess since so far its still a PC game there shouldn't be too many, except the occasional 'when is the Mac version coming" post (ussually me).IP: Logged |

yeah, MGL (and someone else, I forget who) reported that the Mac version was being ported by the second company, and should be ready in about three months. I'm curious as to what happened witht hte first company that was doing the port.IP: Logged |

I'd like to know who is paying for the port? Since Activision owns the game who gets the sales revenue from Mac sales? And if Activision has given up on FS why would they open themselves up to support a Mac version?IP: Logged |

No, Parsoft owned the rights to the Mac version of the game. I don't really know what has happened with Parsoft, so I don't know if Inertia owns it now. Activision abandoned the Mac version long before they abandoned the PC version.IP: Logged |

Thanks Happy, I didn't know that.I don't have a Mac but if it will generate income for MH and the guys at Parsoft/Inertia I'll be rooting for it as much as the Mac owners. IP: Logged |

Will the Mac and Pc version be compatable for on-line flying? This could start a whole "new" war scenerio! IP: Logged |

I'm still out here. As a matter of fact I've been lurking around the board for a long, long time.I'm hoping everyone will go out and buy a copy of the Mac version, if not for themselves then for some Mac user they know. Seems like a good way to invest in Inertia.

I'm still here. I never left, in fact. I've just been lurking on the board for a long, long time. I was interested in what was going on, but I never had much to say about it.Still here, though. I live. K IP: Logged |

MH told me once that at least the planes are cross platform; Actually, the game was initialy conceived cross platform so I think we wilL be able to mix (for this time) with PC gamers... Less than three months left... IP: Logged |

Hi, my name is Steve, and I, um, am a Mac user.Man, I've been tracking this game since back in the day. I can remember when they registered beta testers and assigned squadrons and all of the excitement..sigh. I've been lurking this whole time, waiting and waiting. Now I have a new G4/450 with a Voodoo 3 card and I can't tell you how tickled I was to learn that inertia was porting the game. I have my $50 waiting in a glass case for that day it hits the shelf and I will be telling all of my Mac flyer friends to do the same. Go, Inertia, go! By the way,Sorry about the double post. I host of circumstances lead me to believe my first post hadn't gone through. Of course it had gone through, and in retrospect I should've realized as much. By the way by the way, Is anyone besides me still around from the old Parsoft message board on AOL? I remember when the A-10 Attack! demo first came out. That was probably the best (most fun) discussion board I've ever been involved with. ArtDay? SLKAssoc? You guys still alive out there? IP: Logged |

Will we have, Mac Users, to pay again a full priced bugged game or will it be completely bug free. What about the support of beta patch and so?Just curious. BTW: what are the planned specs to run it? ------------------ P/O STef Editor http://stephan.bondier.free.fr/gazette.html IP: Logged |
