The ground handling is driving me buggy I crash about half the time on takeoff

Is there a sure fire way to make it off the ground or can someone PLEASE try and tweak the ground handling?

For the JU88 just put full flaps and pull hard on the stick.

Army puke, that works like a charm !!!

Fantastic, I can take off every time and the tail doesn't go flinging around.
Just make sure you are perfectly lined up on the runway before takeoff because its hard to change direction like that.

It sort of works for the p51 too.. full flaps full back stick until you get to 70mph or so then rotate.

In the 51, while first starting the rollout, pull all the way back on the stick. Then at about 50 mph push forward to bring the tail up. Now you stear with the rudder instead of the tailwheel. And I *know* that you know not to take the pony off at full throttle...

I don't use flaps but I sure have to pull back on the stick for both of these - and then I get ready for a big twist when the tail comes up.

I find flaps slow the ju88 down (it takes longer to reach airspeed) - now and then I will apply flaps as I take off to add lift but not until speed is up.

For the Spits pull hard on the stick with full flaps and full throttle, and use aileron to prevent the wings from touching the ground. At flying speed the plane will lift off automatically so just realese the stick and off she goes.
Same for most other single-engines.

With the spit, you don't need to bury the tailwheel or use flaps. Just hit the right arrow key six times to trim the ailerons before you start, and normal rudder once the tail comes up will keep it on the runway.
