i cant get thease planes to work(it cus after the loading screen)

huricane
i have contestpack 1.1 plane pack 5.3b and the sdou patch all outher planes work ok please help.

I have no problem flying them but I get a ctd when I get hit in the hurricane.
Haven't been hit in the P47 to find out if that does it too.

This sounds like a FighterSquadron/Media/startup.ppf file problem. Check to see if the proper airfoils are listed in this file for the planes in question. The Hurricane requires the following line:

"aircraft/airfoils/ClarkYH.ppf"

I think there is an airfoil required for the P47 as well(?). I thought the installer for the Contest pack checked for this. DoGma can you clarify.

Yes the contest pack does check your startup.ppf and adds all the airfoils needed for the aircraft it contains. it also moves out all old or existing airfoil files to make sure you have the most current. However if you install the contest pack before the 5.3b patch you won't have a startup.ppf file for it to edit. The hurricane does have a small ctd bug in it still though but it is quite random and only happens once in 10 on my pc and normally only when I am online.

Yes I have the startup.ppf lines etc, I wasn't aware it was a known ctd problem with the hurricane so that explains it. Online is the only time it crashes too.

I have gone for a full reinstall of sdou
is this the right order to install stuff
1.sdou patch1.5
2.plane pack 5.3
3.5.3 patch
4.contest pack
?.meat water sounds (i dont know when to install them.
