After a lot of work, a lot of learning (and more to come) the first updates have been posted for the PBY. Please go to: http://snickwerks.netfirms.com and follow the updates link. Not textured yet (still making too many changes to the model to start but will need to soon (oh sv ......). The images are 100% undoctored except for the caption (and maybe where I corrected the caption). Need someone who can help with the fm (Tail, you out there... ) Notice I said help.... (I want to learn that too...) My xoommail is broken so please post to me here.... Thanks ------------------ Snickers =FC=

WoW! The PBY is shaping up nicely. I happy to hear its well into the works, I am a seaplane lover as well. One question tho... When the model is done, you will have the gear modeled correctly right?[This message has been edited by ArgonV (edited 05-23-2000).] IP: Logged |

hehehe - Got me. Those are the gear for the JU88 not the PBY. For the PBY they are also in the wrong position (when the proper one's are on, they are farther forward.....) The gear for the PBY retracts in the same way as the F4F as well. But thats a touch down the road yet.. Thanks!------------------ Snickers =FC=

Hey Nat,this torpedo of yours will look even more wicked when slung under the Ju 188. I'd like to give it a go-over with the smoothing. Working-model-wise your solution sounds interesting; I never really was happy with the rocket-like torpedo. Peter IP: Logged |

SchaF, lol thats a Dauntless silly... a Douglas SBD Dauntless, Not a Grumman TBF Avenger. There is a difference and yes it's still in beta stage, and no water landing is possible now. IP: Logged |
