Hello,

I would like to know what's up with the server from simfiles (ftp.3dgw.com) cos i've been unable to download anything there.
I have a cable modem, download accelerator plus (same as getright..).When i try to download, the server is responding, the ping is excellent, i have the message "receiving file but nothing else happen...my download counter remains desesperatly at zero...

Is there someone who has encountered the same problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hey. Its not you or your connection. I have the same thing happening. I get the download confirmation box, hit "save as," and I immediately get a download rate of over 150mps. That lasts less than two seconds, and after not very long at all the rate falls down to under 1mps. Eventually the download "times out" and fails. The most I've gotten is 6mb of the 9mb total. Other tries have resulted in 2.5mb, 2mb, and less.

Is there another download site available? Or does simFiles have a problem with AT@T cable?

The server is resumable so if you are using getright like you say you are there is no reason that getright wouldn't be able to resume the download.

Tangleflash that is a definate sign that there is something up between you and the host such as someone along your route is dropping packets.

I will mirror the file at Fightersquadron.com sometime today if time permits. No I won't make it several files, getright is free.

Hey. I finally got it completely downloaded. The rate was up and down rather severely over the length of the download, but it held together all the way through, and the pack looks great. Wonderful to finally fly the Zero and F4U. Woo hoo!
