Would the Jug really be able to carry "Bazoocas, Rockets and bombs" all at the same time?Just wondered.... How about moving rudder pedals? What about a D-Day skin? Just a few suggestions to improve on perfection : - ) ------------------ "MrBlob is Currently Working on: The BE2c" Check out my WW1 Website for Fighter tactics and History: www.MrBlob.Freeserve.Co.uk/doattt

Ok, here are my thoughts. Kikkass! Now for the problems. The rockets stick out of the rocket pod. Some instruments are "clipping" in glide mode. I havent tried D3D yet. On for more testing...[This message has been edited by ArgonV (edited 05-20-2000).] IP: Logged |

For DDay skins, I belive Yardstick did a few with full blown invasion stripes. I believe that on the P-38s were used on the actual D-Day, since their sillhouette is pretty identifiable. But the Jugs that were used the following few weeks/months after would have two oversized insignias on the underwings, versus the usual smaller insignia on the right side. The Jug can carry all the rockets and bombs at the same time. But the middle bomb should be a smaller 250lb bomb that we never got a chance to model. The same thing with the rockets. They are stock Fw190 type rockets that still need to be resized and reworked to be considered 'American' rockets. IP: Logged |

Dan is correct... we have yet to model the finless 4.5 inch American rockets. IP: Logged |

Great work on the real cockpit. I can still get 50 FPS in the cockpit with it.. Not sure whats up with the Obhit on thw wings, but i was flying that Air 2 Air mission against the 109. will i took one hit to the left wing tip and it came flying off. he must have shot me with 400 MM balistic bullet cause theres no way one bullet at the wing tip would cause half the wing to come off. Or at least that's what i think but when i hit the ground it seems to be way high. i rolled the plane on the ground and it bounced about 4 times (went pretty high when it did each time) and still didn't break apart. Also there is some funcky things happening when you fly through clouds. The canopy seems to become unsmoothed and the clouds are hitting the flat poly's. (note: cloud thing was happening when i was flying Rhine Winter testing a new snow scheme) Anything else i can find i'll let you knows know. ------------------ Tony "Razer" Martin http://www.fshangar.com [This message has been edited by Razer (edited 05-20-2000).] IP: Logged |

Razer,Please punish the wings more and see if the result you just presented is the norm, or if it was unusual. The wing tips are, as is the rest of the plane, crowded with obProb's. There's a small small chance of losing the tip already at a very small damage, simulating the truly lucky hit, while in other cases you'll have to spray if full with lead and nothing happens. On the other hand... the cannon of the 109 is mean. It doesn't take more than one hit to lethally damage a fighter, two or three to lethally wound a bomber. It doesn't seem impossible to be that a lucky hit with one of those cannon rounds might indeed cause the tip to leave. The best advice on those cannons one is to avoid being hit by them _ /Bjorn.
