I've got a fresh reinstall(5.3, Nations, beta 65...etc.)I turned down the light settings for some twilight missions (ambient, sun, gamma). Now nomatter what I do I can't get back to a standard daylight setting. All I get is a dark overcast landscape with straight black shadows. Lots of shadows on the planes too. This is with all the light settings turned all the way up. Happens only in beta 65. I've been screwing with this for 2 days, what am I doing wrong. IP: Logged |

The ambient and infinite light setting also require you to alter your mission in notepad and make some changes for the R G and B values etc. If you need to revert to normal lighting, remove the ambient and infinite lines from the Sdemons.ini file via the Edit Ini button. I should have left those options out seeing how long it's taken to get the patch now, it's caused some confusion for a lot of players. Someone should have the info for you to edit your mission in order to take advantage of the amibient/infinite light setting, it's been asked before. cheers

Thanks, I'll see if I can get it straight. Now if you don't mind a couple more questions. 1. Is it possible to retain light settings for certain missions? 2. Is it possible to turn up the infinite light a little higher? I noticed that with all the light settings maxed I get more light from the ground than the sky. The undersides of the planes are very visibly brighter. 3. If I remove those settings can I revert back at all? IP: Logged |

You need the info on modifying your mission(s) so they have the necessary light conditions/colour effects in them, basically whatever mission you edit would retain the info but that means having to adjust the infinite/ambient light setting accordingly. As far as I'm aware the light settings go to their max value but you won't see the result until you get the info above. Someone should be able to point you to the info so you can adjust the mission itself to achieve the darkness/light effects. cheers
