Here's what I have:Ground Units&Mission Pack (Data7.par) Current Contents: Akagi Aircraft Carrier (mposis's) Akizuki Destroyer Yamato Imperial Flagship RN Flagship HMS Hood (Beta1-Hopefully completed by release) Japanese AAA Japanese Armoured Flak Russian T34 (Nat) Rissian Su122 SP Howitzer Stuka Klaxon Crates (1/6) Tents (1/4) Fuel Tanks Funky -Flak -Tanker -Truck TigerII "King Tiger" v2.6 Multiplayer Missions - 302 Wanted - that I can think of... Observation Ballon T34 (Pete Hawk) USS Saratoga (Latest version.. unsure on this) If it's not OK to put these units into the pack, please let me know. Also, if you have or know of units I've not got (there must be loads) let me know about them and if it's ok to add them to the pack. I've added the Funky vehicles and Tiger because they are ground units, although used under aircraft. Let me know what you think guys, and what to add/take out. Thanks ~Nat~ PS I'd like to add "actual" Japanese ground units, but haven't found any pics or data, so if you know of any good sites could you let me know, and I'll bolster that Nation as much as I can. ------------------ JV~44 "Naturlich" If you can't beat em.... out run em! there again, you could go buy a shiny new F4U, and kick some butt!!! Nats FS-SDOE Site

Nat there are a few items that Pete Hawk created that you may want to add if not there already including the observation ballon: http://members.xoom.com/hawkersop/ ------------------

I don't know how the plane pack is organized these days but in 5.2 all the ground objects were in one par file (data12.par?) You want to stick your ground objects along with the 5.3a ground objects in the same par file, since if the new akagi is in data7.par it will get overrided by the old akagi in data12.par TS

Are you thinking of including 302 multiplayer missions in this pack? If so may I please ask you reconsider this.I don't want to have to dig through that many missions all while trying to find a particular mission, when I'm trying to play online. If I misunderstood.....never mind. PR=FC= IP: Logged |

Hey PR! You don't have that many on line missions? I swear I have atr least 3 times that many.... If only it would sort them alphabetically like a well behaved combobox.... ------------------ Snickers =FC= IP: Logged |

No, I don't have that many. And I don't want that many.It would be nice if what we do have could be sorted by size (amount of planes in the mission), but even if they could I would want to be able to select which missions I want in my mission folder, not have them included in a file for ground objects. To many missions out that I have no interest in. I just hate digging through them all. PR=FC= IP: Logged |

Nations is data6 par!! Just had to get that in there...unless someone changed it-- this is the one Werner and I and the rest of the Nations team released!!Now-- is the Tallboy doable? Dole- would you mind if we used it? All that needs to be added is an .sm, a texture, one line to the startup (if you want- I'll send my startup along- it has every single freaking object and airfoil reference up to date- so when you overwrite-- all that would be changed is the addition of the Tallboy reference.) And finally- a new loadout for the Lanc (I'm not sure which loadout everyone has-- but I can show how to add in the Tallboy in the loadout...let me know! I'll look at my ground objects files when I get home Nat and let you know what you're missing, OK? As I said- I do believe I have about everything! I am a download hound! ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless!

ok, given that Data12 Akagi will override Data7 Akagi... whats the deal with using Data14 instead.. seems right now we have Data6 as Nations, 7 as missions, 12 & 13 as PP, 15 as WW1.I see what you're saying about the missions, they are a pain when you have alot, I was thinking of renanming them (slightly) so that they appear in some kind of order, but that isn't a simple thing.... So, if I don't combine Ground Units with Data7, and Data14 is free, I would rather use that so as to keep the newest versions I can of Ground Objects from being over written. This is one that I guess the OPS guys will have to decide on, so in the time being, I'll update Data7.par with the new missions I've got online, and any missions anyone wants to send (Snick), then it's user discretion as to wether or not you d/l the file, but you can still get the ground units as a seperate deal. Speed, thanks for the link to Pete's Place, I'll check it out and d/l whats needed. Pete, is it OK to add them?? Well, like I said, I'll carry on getting whats needed, but I would like a decision about the parfile. I would like to use Data14.par, and unless I get an answer one way or the other, I'll release GroundUnits Pack in Data14.par this weekend, and also an upgraded Data7.par with all new missions sent to me till then. ~Nat~ IP: Logged |

Two things: Firstly please run all 'funky' additions (including the pzvii) past Archy because they're his betas and I know that at least the king tiger (pzvii) requires mods to the keyboard.inp for it to work. If nothing else it's just plain polite. Second thing: I can't remember if it was dogma or tailslide, but someone was filling me in on a OPP discussion about nations, and suggested that to encourage it's propagation amongst our community that nations take two parfiles to reduce d/l sizes. I don't know if this is still possible given the other projects like Nat's being proposed/worked on. I'm not whining or anything, imo even with my 56k modem nations isn't a big download (I did it a few times to get a sense of what the rest of you had to contend with) so I'm happy with 1 parfile, but if it means people aren't going to d/l it in future I think as a community we need to re-examine the distribution of parfiles. Werner ------------------ It's coming... The NEW bcatp! Stay tuned for details! IP: Logged |

Thanks Pete Werner, there shouldn't be a problem in anycase with having any of the multiple Par file addons reduced to a file Par file, put it this way, you have to download it all anyway, so there's no reason it couldn't all be put in a single par file, and use File spliter (freeware) to split it into smaller managble parts that have a simple .bat file to rejion them, to me it seems the best answer as SDOE gets more developement and we get short of parfiles. I do see your point though, it just seems there's an answer for it until we actually use up all the file numbers. Where can I get hold of Archy? I've not seen or heard anything from him in an age.. for the time being I'll remove them, and then they can still be added to any future versions IP: Logged | |
