You know, to be honest, I'm thinking of putting together a whole Ground Units pack, it could include the untis I've made, plus those from mposis and Pete Hawk, and any others that are out and about that ppl think should be added, Whirlwinds great little Cargo ship, Zeplin, Observation Ballon etc etcOPS Guys, If there is a Parfile number free, let me know and I'll build it, be nice to have.. might be a pain to have it as an online standard, but I think there will be a time it'll have to be. That's a great idea Nat! We could also include Tallboy, Grandslam (do I have the names right?) etc. Anything that's not a plane. It would make life easier for Jeeves and anyone who wants to use his campaigns but can't find all the objects.IP: Logged |

agreed.. it'll probably get updated alot the way we're kicking units out right now, but hey, aint that waht we want?It would be easy to say make GroundPack1 as say Data15.par, and updates in comparrision to Plane Packs will be very small, I'd guess not over 2mb really. I used data7 for the mission pack.Why not take that one and if you want to leave the missions in. These would be good things to pack together. Don't use 15 because the WWI folks have that one on "reserve" IP: Logged |

Adding weapons would be a problem since it requires editing the startup.... (which i questioned the existance of due to the headaches it caused on any "real" addon to the game like a century ago to MH and never got a response... *shrug*)IP: Logged |

Dole.. we're not adding weapons... ground objects don't really work that way, I have to say that aircraft baffle me as to why you need a loadout.ppf at all (for the guns anyway), when with ground object the guns are all defined in the SM itself.Changes that I can garuntee will be made are to the Sounds.ppf file, new gun sounds will be added and the sounds.ppf upgrade to incorporate them (only cause I used new sounds for the Yamato and Hood)  If in the fuyure we add things like Soviets SSM launchers for WW2, then it might have to be done, but I've got no plans for one of those as of yet, mainly cause the AI wouldn't fire them, thats a cert. Spin, thats a good idea, it could be handy if ppl that are creating missions for the PP5.3 aircaft want them adding to mail them over to me so I can do it all in one go. Guys, if there are any of you that don't want your ground objects adding into a Par file, please speak up, there are so maney I know I'll end up just throwing them all in and never get round to asking every individual for permission. There are some I still don't have.. so some "site Raiding" is going to be called for, or.. mail me the newest versions of your ground units for adding. ~Nat~ IP: Logged |
