As some of you have noticed I haven't been around much lately. I had been swamped with tests and homework. Now, after 2 years I have FINALLY finished my 2 year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program!! It was an amazing program, I learned everything from timing Magnetos on a Harvard, to how the fire control system works on a 737. (I even learned how I was WRONG on that little RC plane discussion SV, myself and a few others had a while back ....not to open old wounds). I never thought today would come, but I checked my grades online and I PASSED! 89% average!! (If you would have seen my high school grades, you would be amazed I even passed this course! LOL). So What's ahead of me? I really don't know. I would like to find a job maintaining helicopters (Bell 205s DROOL!). Time to write up a new resume I guess. But for now, I'm gonna see how much of this "Openplane" stuff I rember.......------------------ Cheers! Jaguar The FS Hangar IP: Logged |

Jag that's GREAT! I was also an A&P (as they called it then) and I have wonderful memories! I worked on Beechcraft private and corporate planes, what a thrill to taxi around a million dollar airplane at the age of 20! Just remember when you get on the job, there's no cleaning solution labeled "Prop Wash", and no lubricant such as "Elbow Grease". Hehe, you're talking about the symetrical airfoil discussion, right? ------------------ Pang 33rd~GS 33rd Strike Group IP: Logged |

Spanky here.. Great stuff man. Finally eh? I know what you mean about marks, I had really crappy marks in high school. But in college I walked away with a bursary for good marks. I think its just the fact that its somthing your interested in. I wish high school was a bit better put together to let people explore more avenues. Well actually I guess it is getting better. One course I took in grade 11 (all those years ago LOL I'm 26 now) Was called "Design Studies" we studied the design process (perfect for my college course) and made all kinds of cool stuff. Try this on for size. High performance paper airplanes CO-2 powered wood cars Kites Hows that for a credit course? LOL I got good marks in that. electronics, and wood working. Thats about it LOL BTW i'm considering going back to school AGAIN LOL since I might have a chance to go with someone else footing the bill. Aircraft Structual Repair. 2 years
