Well, last night i was bored so i started to just cruise the dir's on my game drive. Looking over my Openplane dir. i found that i didn't loose the Spit XV and the Spit XIV i made many mouths ago. I myself don't plan to work on them since i'm getting a lot done on the Ki-61. But if you want to work on them to get them flight worthy then mail me and i'll send you the SM files. i don't have anything else i just have the SM. The Spit XV has the bubble cockpit and i think the Spit XIV has the clipped wings. (i could be wrong i only tried the XV last night)------------------ Tony "Razer" Martin http://www.fshangar.com [This message has been edited by Razer (edited 05-09-2000).] IP: Logged |

This game is crying for any Griffon-engined Spitfire. A MkXIV with bubble canopy like this one would be perfect. http://www.avnet.co.uk/tfc/spit_xiv/ ------------------ Pachy perso.club-internet.fr/gledimet IP: Logged |

Most WWII Spit MK XIV had the classical canopy. They were actually MK VIII or MK IX converted aircraft (you can even see the engine bolted to the fuselage ...), usually with normal wings too. Bubble canopy were mostly postwar versions, the same applies for armament : mostly .303 mg, very few .5 mg. A converted MK VIII, with high altitudes wings would be very beautifull indeed. I'm in love with bubble canopies In fact this Spit is from late 1944. The plain metal finish is typical post-war. See the link.IP: Logged |

The Spit XIV i have uses the P51D canopy. I would have to check but i think the XV has clipped wings. I know when i clipped the wings it screwed the gear damage since i used the IX as the base.i'll try to post images tonight. ------------------

i have a parallel Zip drive and it sucks system resources when moving files. it just happen to be running at the time of the image. I have very little time online when i get home so i have to do many things at once. when it's not running its up around 110 like all the others.------------------

For more information on the Spit XIV, read Afred Price's book, which has been reedited recently IP: Logged |

There is no such plane as a Spitfire Mk XV.There is a Seafire Mk XV though, with folding wings, arrestor gear etc. IP: Logged |
