Well I "Shoot to thrill" Mk! Hmm, that and giving the dog a bone were two of my favourites off that album. In my 308 sandman, cruising along... speakers thumping, not a care in the world. Those were the days.------------------ IP: Logged |

Question regarding servers:If, one day when I am old and grey(er), and the "official" Activision Server sites close down, will we still be able to get together and have an internet on-line dogfight?? Is the server software (meeting place software) suitable for small interested parties to use? That is one nice thing about Red Baron: when I am dotty, I will still be able to meet with my brothers and shoot it out on our antique 1G VooDoo 5 machines. What is the go on this? S! Activision has made very vague noises about opening up their server software sometime in the future. If they ever abandoned it completely I get the impression that they'd release something so that people could continue playing ANet games. All just guesswork on my part.As an alternative, SDOE works equally well over Kali. Some people complain that it's pay-for-play, but it's really just a shareware program. A very small one-time cost, and the author has always promised free upgrades forever. IP: Logged |

Both are good news; thanks Mighty.I have had little experience with Kali, but I know that it might sometimes be a fair bit slower than games run on "private" servers ... or so I've heard! S! MW IP: Logged |
