Nat - you are just a one man show when it comes to putting out neat ground targets. Thanks! Say - how about stripping out and setting up the stacks of supplies that are on some of the airbase aprons or ramp areas as a positionable target?

cool idea Speed I'm just finishing off the Yamato (texturing) and HMS Hood (almost complete), but I build these little ground objects when I get frustrated or tierd of working on all the other stuff (yes, there's actually loads going on here.. lol)

To be honest, I'm happy enough working on ground objects and terrain, I don't really want to start learning the ins and outs of aircraft, cause you know or sure when that happens very few ground objects will appear.

Thanks for the shouts Speed, I'll try to keep up with the things ppl have asked for that I know I can do... HMS Hood was asked for a few weeks back and will be released soon, full compliment of guns if not entirely correct to scale.

Nat.
I have a couple of scale drawings for Pennsylvania Class (BB38 and BB39 Arizona), and Indiana class (BB58, BB57 South Dakota, BB59 Massachusetts, BB60 Alabama) battleships.
The drawings are large, and I'd have to scan them and then try to piece them together in PSP.
Let me know if you can use them.
Of course, we'd need a Japanese dive or torpedo bomber or two.

Daunt, this is the type of thing I'm working from, atleast, this is about the best to work from I think, it give a good side and plan view, with gun positions pretty clear on the pic, so anything similar to this would be great to build from, I've tried using oblique views from actual pfoto's, but you just don't get the feeling of scale on parts of the ship. I do wish I could model good enough to get something almost identicle to the pic, but for such big objects I work on getting the ship the basic shape, and add as many of the actual guns a I can.

Nat,

After seeing your work in the past I wouldn't worry about the "exact" details. The work you do is better than the detail from Activision on their ships. Also glad to hear you're working on the Yamato, the realizm will be so much better with paint on it...

Oops, Good job on the Russian armor to, thanks

Heya guys...

Just a quick note to Speedbrake-- what you propose has already been done- and the proof is in my Vehicles folder. I have all the different stacks of crates, different sized tents, and even the fuel tanks next to the Farm House. Someone sent these individual files to me last year (Please forgive my memory- but I forget who ) Let me know if you want them...maybe someone can put them on their site?

Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless!

Funny you should say that I have loads of areas on my site where I'm sat waiting for other people to mail me their addons for posting! lol

If you would like me to post them up there, just kick them over, it'd help if you could remember the builder, but if not I'll put your name to them until someone complains and I can get it right lol
(always works when you don't give proper recognition to the builder)
