I was thinking about buying SDOE after reading IGN's article on the multiplayer aspect of it. Is it really that good?? Ive been looking for a sweet ass game where I can be a pilot defending bombers against online players, is it like that?? If some peeps can tell me their thought about it, let me know..i need some help making my decision =). ThankS!IP: Logged |

Its a great game! And yes, you can go up and defend bombers online as well as attack ground targets, dogfight, the works! I will say that it does require that you are willing to keep up with the latest info. Planepacks, patches, etc. have to be the same for all who are trying to play together online. It takes a little effort but, if you hang around this forum the guys will keep you up to date with the latest and greatist. So, go for it! Yes, you can fly the bombers, but you can also man any of the stations within the them while the AI flies the plane. By the way, all the bombers have fully 3d interiors.IP: Logged |

Ah, I get it. Sorry, I guess I'm just not "down" with the common vernacular. I was also informed by a younger friend as to what that meant. Let's see if I can get the hang of this: "Hey man, believe me, SDOE is the bomb! Man, I'm telling you, it's sick!" How's that? All kidding aside, welcome aboard there Hudson, and hope to see you in the friendly skies soon. If you have any problems getting hooked up and running right, just give a shout. You'll probably get more help than you ever wanted in the first place! LOL Mk10=225th= IP: Logged |

I'd just like to say Counter Stike is awesome. I've been playing it since beta 1.0 and I love it. So the answer to your question of whether or not any SDOE players play CS is yes.IP: Logged |

SDoE is awesome for Offline Play.Online Play isn't bad, but does suffer alot of Mismatch errors due to everyone not being on the same page. With the "Open Plane" aspects of SDoE this is an unfortunant side effect. You must continually check this board and them some. A Damage bug runs rampant which gives random damage reporting to other online players. In short not all your damage is reported making it tougher to bring down aircraft. Lastly, online play has no way to shut down the "God Like" padlock view system. If you don't care to enjoy the " Hunt & get in close enough to ID your target sequence" then you won't have a problem. Its free online, and each mission has an ending unlike the persistant 24/7/365 arena's. Rattler IP: Logged |
