This is a nasty new one that is going around. If you get an email with an attachment that says I Love You, dont open it. It will not only send itself to everyone in your address book, but it will affect all .JPG files and MP3 files on your HD (though probably only the ones on the system drive). It can also affect your registry and web browser and is hard to get off your machine.

We have been hit hard, and our customers have been hit hard. Just a heads up.

Suggestion: When sending/posting any virus or other warning, include a link to a major site that describes it. That'll go a long way to helping people differentiate a real warning from another hoax. In this case, http://www.cnn.com/2000/TECH/computing/05/04/iloveyou/index.html

THX Mighty, I usually do, but i was in the process of writing the message when informed that everything was coming down, so I closed it and hit send.... Email still isnt back up...

This is very good advice before ever sending a virus alert....

Well then...
I LOVE YOU too.
It's nice to know somebody cares

I just got a bunch of e-mails in my inbox pertaining to that virus- from the school network, from my ISP,... man this must be pretty big.

I GOT IT!!! YEAH!!!
What's more it's from a woman!
She send this to all the technical people in my company!!! And all these poor lemmings use Outlook! They're doomed!
This is so much fun. Thanks, Microsoft, for making e-mail a new playground for all those 3l337 VV4Rl0rD2!

Here too. Shut down the email at work and our union office. I logged on to my work system (Outlook) and before I knew it I had "I love you" coming from all over. It's nice to know someone cares.

Spanky here..

Falck. EXACTLY. That has been what I have been saying all along.

It was a little more clever though.

First of all the email would be from someone you know. Since it mails itself from microcrap outlook to all people on someones contact list.

AND

The attachement is named somthing like.

I love you.txt.vbs I think anyways. So I guess i could see that getting some people.
