Yak-3 "Normandie-Niemen" is available on my site !

If you don't remember, Normandie-Niemen was a french squadron in the soviet air force.

You can download it at: http://helicesanciennes.free.fr
heading "Téléchargements/Avions"

Bon vol à tous !

Pat.

Mortel..
Cool skin badly needed for the French nation when its out. Tail the Yak will end as a French plane beware
For you non french speakers Old Prop's site has that nice feature that allows you to see a translated button when standing over.
A plane is an "avion" and that's it
Spyd I might end up as a SDOE only trans if it goes on.
Helices c'est ton vrai nom ?

Well, shoot, if there's gonna be a French nation, I guess I'll build ya a F4U-7 to go with that nice skin. It's a pretty quick mod. How close are you to releasing the nation?

If somebody posts up a (color) picture of a French flight suit, I'll see if I can't do the animated Corsair pilot up in French duds as well

Jedi,
This will be in the next Nations pack release (other possible additions are Australia and Holland I think).

About the F4U-7, we appreciate your offer to build a special version for us flying frogs, but don't you think some will say 4 versions of the Corsair is enough?

Hehe perhaps so OTOH, no one is complaining about the swarm of Bf-109s...

Oh, well, if you don't want it, let me know if you'd like a "framework" for using the F4U-4 as a substitute. Just a few small files required to "trick" the sim into thinking it has a new plane, although Pat may have already done this.

I don't remember saying I didn't want it But now people seem to complain there are too much planes... I was warning you only.

Personally I like having variants of the same aircraft. Maybe all of them should't be mandatory for online flying (ie not in a plane pack). IMHO we could in fact use more variants, for example I'd really like to see a Griffon-engined Spitfire (Mk XIV for example, with bubble canopy), a "finished" version of the P-51b, a glassnose mosquito, a "razorback" P-47 and so on.

Not totally sure of that, but I think unlike the F4U and F6F, the SBD was used in France during WWII.

You're right Patchy.
In 1943, the squadrons 3FB and 4FB of the French Navy were created in North Africa.
A little later, they received SBD-5 Dauntless.
These squadrons were operationnal in september 1944.
Then, they were transfered in France, to reduce the german resistance in the south-west.

Bonjour !
Old Pat Props, as I told you in private, I intended to make a Normandie Niemen skin (not the same as yours) but you seem to be a specialist, I will let you make it . Here is the only picture I have, it should help you...

By the way, if any of our french pilots have information about the P38 piloted by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, "je suis preneur"
