Can some benevolent power (you know who you are) take the latest and greatest of the new WWII and WWI planes and make a new par file or 2 separate par files. I know new improvements are always being made, but we need to start somewhere. I still have not been able to do a mission with the f4u online(with more than 2 people) because of mismatches and I have never been able to do a WWI mission.

All I am saying is that it would be nice especially with the weekend coming up.
I am sure it would be greatly appreciated by the entire commmunity. It could then be up to each individual whether they want to dl the new plane packs or not. If they don't they may run into mismatches, thats all.

I guess I should revise my request to say a new plane pack for WWII after the contest is over on April 25th. Just a small beta plane pack like you say with the lastest beta versions of all the new planes. The contest plane pack is great but there is newer stuff out there which I am using, so it is probably my fault for the mismatches.

And for WWI plane pack, I know there is a plan to make a full plane pack with everything. I just want a small beta plane pack with just the latest for the 7 or so planes out there today. This would at least let WWI missions work online.

The first WWI pack will be just that mostly... a bunch of planes so it can work on-line! We are not shooting to high yet.. our main goal is to create a pack that is bug free and easy to install.

Also it will come with some wonderful campaign stuff from Jeeves! These missions will work great on-line too

We are trying to hurry, I am hoping for May 15th right now. I am not against a pre-WWI pack if many people want this... I did this earlier and got in trouble

I have a patch that fixes all the bugs I have found so far with the pack and am looking for other testers using the pack to help me test it before I release it.

I think this is a step in the right direction towards ending all these missmatches.

Several of us from the BAB have been flying this config for three weeks now and I have ctd'd once.

Thanks for the quick response. My vote (if you couldn't guess) is to make a pre WWI pack today. It really can only help. All those who choose to download it know they will be ok online with the others who downloaded it. We are not forcing any one to download it. At least we would stand a better chance of have WWI mission work for more than 2 people at a time. I hope you can and do decide to create one today. Just make sure ( I know you know) to tell the downloaders to rename the a/c directories in the aircraft directory if they have any exiting WWI aircraft.

For anyone giving you grief about it, I don't understand why or what they could complain about?
