Hallo guys ive just sent the last fm to Roadtoad this includes higher speed. She now begins to get speed vibration at about 850 to 900kph in level flight. This is the speed of the production Go229. There is a special fm which ive flown at 1000kph before speed vibration sets in of the next proposed Go229 but thats a bit to fast for Sdoe. Roadtoad will be posting the updates soon, he is doing a great job on the site which he has put together by himself! Thanks Roadtoad for all your support in this hard time. So give him time, he tests models first and then posts them when he thinks there okay. This Swotl update also includes update on He162. The other person who is great help to me is the wife shes helping me to put these fms together, as im not back to my old self yet. I call that devotion. All the best panzer [This message has been edited by panzer (edited 04-19-2000).]

I thought the Go229 was supposed to have a maximum level speed of 600mph (which is 960kph)IP: Logged |

In the Go229s final flight which resulted in a fatal crash a speed of 800kph had been obtained. The model is based on that aircraft with a faster speed. No more production models were produced before WW11 came to an end. What was obtained and what was proposed are two different things. Ive flown a special Fm and model at 1000kph she flies like a demon and as the maps in SDOE are small she eats them up pretty quickly at that speed. When we get larger maps perhaps i will release.panzer IP: Logged |

Hey Panzer,my woman is pretty cool (i.e. tolerant) when it comes to my aircraft-stuff, but not as cool as yours ;-). BTW, I happened to run into a mag that has a few He-162 cockpit photos (in color). Do you want me to scan them for you, or are you all set? Peter IP: Logged |

Great news about the 229! Any chance of a release with all the modifications but a speed cap? 500/600mph maybe? Also, what is the status of the stuka? Where does it rank in your to-do list? Thanks for all your hard work! Werner IP: Logged |

I tried to fly the Go229 last night, but crashed to my doom (twice) shortly after take-off.I applied nearly full throttle and as little aileron/elevator control as possible, but always appeared to zoom off to the left of the runway, gain a bit of altitude, roll gently over and then crash into the ground - all in the very near vicinity of the aerodrome. What is the secret, oh great Test Pilots of the Luftwaffe? My next incarnation could use some advice. Salute, MW IP: Logged |

I GENTLY roll the throttle and when I have to pull up...I move the stick to the left and foward. Again gently but, with purpose. Once you're up and away and you need to turn left use the same motion...left and fwd. You might try starting in the air, just to get a good feel for how she reacts to differant inputs.IP: Logged |

Thanks Diego.Well Argon, I downloaded it from one of the "Main" sites for FSSDOE only two days ago, but I have been furiously downloading +++ for the last few days and I would never be able to remember where I got it from. Where is the newest and greatest Go229 please, and I will check I have the same one. I have yet to familiarize myself with the names of people doing what and who therefore has the freshest versions of the interesting bits and pieces. How can I contact Attilla? I am ready to fiddle with terrains to make them bigger. (As I wanted to do about 9 months ago ) MH put some stuff up on the board about how to turn off the divine wind at the edge of the terrain, and how the tiles all work, but I cannot recall the details, and, as far as I can see, no-one has actually done it successfully yet, although there were two fellows working on it, some jubilant squeals, and then disappointed squawks when all failed... again, about 6-9 months ago. These new planes, especially graphically are really fine pieces of work. S! MW IP: Logged |

If you downloaded from almost any site, you downloaded the famous "lawn dart". I don't know if Panzer/RoadToad have posted this on his web sit yet (I got it by email). Try the one at: http://greenforce.net/fs/fs.htm I cant guarantee its the latest, but its the only that will be on the web (that I am aware of....) (Just downloaded it and checked it. Not the latest version....)------------------ Snickers =FC= [This message has been edited by Snickers (edited 04-20-2000).] IP: Logged |

Panzer is just keeping us aware that he is still working on stuff. Not telling us that its avalible right now. Panzer any cool news about any other of your works in progress? Like a 163?
