I have the beautiful cockpit for the P38J and have just installed it. It has encouraged me to spend some time with FSSDOE up again.

Are there similar cockpits for any of the other stock and non-stock planes, and if so, where do I get'm?

Regards,
MW

Many of the "user created" aircraft come with very nice cockpits with reflections. There are two other files out there for the different version of the Spits that add better cockpits/reflractions. You should be able to use the search routine of this site to locate them or find the URLs for download.

Hey, by the way.... I'm going to redo all those files as soon as I get a chance. When I did them, I had to export all the shapes as triangles. Now that I can export quads, I can cut in half the polygon count of those cockpits. I think that will make them much less costly to framerate. I'm also thinking about making versions with and without reflections.
By the way, the P-47 comes with a very detailed and a very optimized cockpit. The optimized cockpit is the default, however. Read the readme file that comes with the P-47 for instructions on how to install the realistic cockpit.

Thanks fellas!

1. The P38 cockpits are, and the Spitfire cockpits look to be, works of art, JT. Congratulations.

2. BTW, on my 200MMX with VooDoo II, with the P38J (mod) up and going, sometimes the view jumps about a fair bit, and I often find I am staring straight up ... needing to hit NumPad 8 to get my straight ahead view back. Is this what you refer to, JT, when talking about slower machines not quite being up to running these files.

Off to the web I go ...
