Topic: Could use a little help

I recently formatted my hard drive and had to re-install my SDOE. I placed my SDOE on my E drive, downloaded and installed the 1.5 patch, downloaded and installed the pp 5.3, downloaded and have tried to install the 5.3 patch several times. I keep getting a error message stating that it caould not find the files needed. I have my SDOE on E:\SDOE and I attempted to point the patch to that location but still get the error message. I then tried E:\SDOE\Fighter Squadron but still no luck. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong ? I would apprecaite the help.------------------

You might not have installed the 1.5 patch right. I know the 5.3B patch looks for the Patched Sdemons.exe file. It looks for the date the exe was made. Once it does that then it looks to see if you havePP5.3 installed. Then it will install the patch. To me it seems 1.5 wasn't installed. i would suggest not installing the game to SDOE but to install it to E:\Fighter Squadron.Mines installed at D:\FighterSqaud\ and i had no problems. I still think it's the 1.5patch though  IP: Logged |

Thanks for the quick reply. I will go and re-install the 1.5 patch again and see if it works. Are we now using the pp5.3b patch instead of the pp5.3a ? I hate to sound like a complete dummy, but have been off the net for awhile.Thanks again ------------------

Razor, I went and re-installed the 1.5 patch and it is good. I am gonna go find the 5.3b patch now and try it.------------------

I have flown several off line missions, but when I sign on line to fly, it won't show any of the lobby's to fly in.------------------
