Does anyone have a site that has sound effects for D/L, maybe something that applies
to FS, guns,explosions, etc...
I'm kinda playin with some sounds with gun
and if you have any info its appreciated.

If you have a look at the post called "Machine Gun Chatter" on this board there is some info there.

I assume that you have already downloaded and used Meatwater's sounds????
http://www.meatwater.de/ There is also a gun sound file by Gunjam. You will have to look in the "search" mode to find it. IP: Logged |

Spanky here.. I have been collection all kinds of sounds. Like mad looking for the best I can find. What sounds would you guys like to see worked on for SDOE? I know gunners only does the gun sounds and meatwaters only does some too. WHich sounds havn't been done? I'm personally not too into the flap and gear sounds.

My pet hate would be the sound the wheels make over the ground or the fuselage. It sounds real bad to hear a swish when you land a few tons of B-17 on the ground with no wheels.IP: Logged |

Spanky here.. Yeah you guys too eh. Yep we need some new sounds. I would like to see a sound pack that replaces practicaly all the sounds. They could all use a bit of tweeking. So how would those bombs really sound? I don't know if the sound you hear in the movies is right either. I'm thinking a thut or clunk as they release and a swoosh. IP: Logged |

There are oodles of warbirds sounds on the net and also the aces high ones. Anything can be name changed to work in Sdoe.
Do a search for Warbirds AND sounds if you use yahoo or similar.------------------

I noticed it's important to have the engine sounds quiet so you can hear the rattling from the wings when the plane is about to stall. The p47 does this nicely, I left my yak engine sound too loud. TS

Spanky here... Yeah theres tons of sounds for warbirds but I find most of them suck ass. I can't remember what I thought of the aces high ones. but i will check them out again. Also I find you can't just grab a sound and throw it in. Some need changes in lenght and speed. and volume

Keep looking and you'll find ones that are real good.
Use goldwave or similar to change the freq or length to taste.
