hi pilots !!!
I was wondering if it's possible to add the gun smoke to the wing end to look like the condense trail (u know, when u pull too many Gs...). U think that someday will be possible to see a night version of FS? That kinda stuff would be the definitive kick in the virtual butt of WW2 fighers!!! ;-)

lemme know u all!!!

i've been thinking about this for a few days but i'm not sure it will work. would have to put a small poly on the tip and have it stream smoke when above a certain G. This might be possible when the source code is release to the select few, then we might get that.

The current beta patch (version1.5.1 build 65) supports customizable sky colours - so you can simulate dusk and midnight missions. Combined with the Dover Night Terrain we have a pretty good night version now.

What's needed for night is search lights and a moon.

I remember a long time ago some one made smoke streamers on the tip of the wings. Is it possible in openplane to turn them on when a certian force/g level is experienced by the aircraft? (is this what you meant razer)

Diego,
Does this require any program or can you do this right out of FS?
Thanks

Thats the beauty of it. If you have NOTEPAD on your computer...wich I'm sure you do, you can do this in a pinch. It also helps if you have some kind of ART program just to get the RGB (red green blue)values.

For example try this value for a moody Dawn/Dusk: R=253
G=136
B=102
Not quite Niteyet:
R=60
G=60
B=100

The thing is if you hate my colors...good thats great! You can make whatever suits your idea of what the sky should look like.

The whole process takes about 2 minutes if your lame like me! Go try it out.
